The Decade Challenge: March 2009

On the first day of March in 2009, it snowed 5+ inches in Greenville, SC. I know this because I was there to pick the children up from my mom, and I only had flip flops. We went to Kohls and hit the clearance aisle- by then, most winter was 90% off. This was when I began to realize I, too,  could dress appropriately for the weather and keep warmer by keeping my toes and ears covered.

Logan turned 8 at the infamous tea party. It was a beautiful affair for a beautiful girl.

The boys were cast in Wonka, JR as squirrels.

We attended auditions on St. Patrick's Day.

I tried my hand at homemade whipped cream, lemon curd and jelly roll cakes; time consuming, but worth the work as most delicious things are.

We took advantage of the parks nearby and spent a lot of time outdoors, biking  and picnicking (cooking out on charcoal grills)  and taking time to play. Those were some of my favorite days.
