Eagle

On Monday, I attended a dinner for a group of fellow home educators in Savannah. As I was preparing a few things to take along, I decided to employ the help of my personal child labor staff (you have got to get yourself a few of these!)
I began to gather some needed items from the pantry, delegating those things found on the lower shelves to my "staff". The pie I was making called for sweetened condensed milk, found on my baking/dry goods shelf- second to the bottom.
Enjoy the gem that requesting its retrieval fetched:
ME: Logan, grab the Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk from the pantry for me-it's the red can near the bottom... look by the flour...
**it helps to be very specific when they are required to look for something
CHANDLER (inexplicably joining the conversation at knee jerk speed): WHAT?!
ME: I was talking to Logan, I asked her to hand me the condensed milk...
CHANDLER: I know but what? What is this about eagles ? How do you even milk one of those things?
After the inevitable "Very carefully, son." I clarified the matter for them and let them taste a little of the milk before adding it to my recipe.
(We all went on to ponder why there's a cow dressed like a turkey on the front of a product called "Eagle Brand")
