I made a key lime pie tonight. I had been planning to make one some day this week perhaps, or last week or sometime in September; thus the bag of little key limes lying on the counter for the last coupla' days. I was forced to make the pie today however, after some wee chefs that I won't name but whose pictures are all over this blog and who live in my house, hacked up my limes in an effort to "help" me. They left me "pie" or "dry" (limes) .
You may be interested to know the equivalent of the juice and zest of 3 medium limes is approximately ten times more when using itty bitty key limes. Something that is very easy to do is grate one's knuckles when one is grating tiny lime peels. Something that is not tasty in pie is blood. I didn't leak, so its tasty key lime pie for breakfast.
Hey! Citrus is an approved breakfast item and so is milk - (this milk is simply condensed, so we can consume it quicker!)
